Am I a BIMAX candidate?

Hello,

I’m 19 and have been looking into orthognathic surgery for a while now. I’m trying to figure out whether bimax (possibly with some CCW rotation) would actually make sense in my case or if I’m overestimating what surgery could do for me.


My main aesthetic concerns are:

• I want a wider and stronger-looking lower third.
• I want more forward growth.
• Getting rid of or reducing my nasolabial folds is a big priority for me.
• I feel like my maxilla might be somewhat recessed, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the case or if I’m just misdiagnosing myself.

I’ve attached front and side profile photos.


I’m interested in hearing honest opinions from people who have had surgery, done a lot of research, or understand cephs and facial structure. Do you think I look like someone who could benefit from bimax and/or CCW rotation, or do you think the improvement would likely be minimal?


Also:

• Do you see any obvious maxillary deficiency?
• Does my lower third actually look narrow to you?
• Would advancing the jaws realistically help with my nasolabial folds?
• If you were consulting a surgeon, what movements would you expect them to consider?

I’m looking for honest feedback, whether it’s “yes, you’d benefit” or “no, I don’t think surgery is justified.”

probably just get a lateral ceph and measure your SNA SNB etc, it will give you more insight on whether any surgeon would be willing to perform the surgery on you, since that's what matters at the end of the day if you're unhappy with your looks. i am sorry if this is unhelpful

Not unhelpful at all! Will probably get those measured if I actually plan on getting a consultation. But even by just looking at my face from outside you can clearly see some recession in the maxilla. From the side it looks sunken in wouldn’t you say?
