Sprinted 100 meters on 2 different days in the same 14.8-seconds time and in the same number of steps: 58.
If you don’t know, 58 steps is way too many (because the distance covered per stride is too short). Good sprinters sprint 100 meters in under 50 strides. Most world-class sprinters take 45 or fewer steps. Usain Bolt covered 100 m in 41 strides. My high step count and short stride length indicates a lack of explosive power. I’m unable to exert the force from my legs that’s required to run fast.
As if shitty force production ain’t bad enough, my leg cycling speed in steps per second is giga slow. I took 3.92 steps per second. Elite-level sprinters typically cycle their legs at approx. 4.5 steps per second. My slow step rate indicates a lack of muscle contraction speed.
Never began? No fast-twitch athletics for me?
