This is the problem I encounter though, eye contact is good but if I maintain it it seems weird so wtf do I do? Tbh irl interaction is stupid I will just rot here forever

Don't think like that. Eye contact is good when you're talking to someone. But if you're not comfortable with doing it, and do it anyway, you're gonna creep people out.

Keep doing it whatever the case. You'll get more comfortable. Just have a little patience, or a lot.

the rule is to look away when they look away and look them in the eyes when they look at you. or maintain 4 seconds of eye contact and glance around the room for a bit then repeat
