I don’t know if it’s just the angle or what, but let’s just assume I look like I do in those ugly photos. So, I wasn’t directly breastfed, and things only got worse because of mouthbreathing. I started mouthbreathing around age 9 or 10(covid era)and kept doing it until I was 15. I think I really stopped at 16.
Mouthbreathing did a number on me. Now I’ve got a deep bite, TMJ issues, holy assymetry, narrow ahh palate(I used to have a wide palate bruh), sometimes it's also hard to breathe, a recessed maxilla and jaw/chin, a big nose that sticks out too much—probably because my midface is flat and recessed(big nose but still hard to breathe is js so weird)ect. I honestly don’t think this stuff can be fixed naturally anymore.
I asked ChatGPT about it, and it didn’t sugarcoat anything. It told me straight up that if my bones are already set, I’d probably need real interventions like braces, palate expansion, or even surgeries like Le Fort I or bimaxillary advancement to fix my facial structure and breathing issues. Basically, if your bones are recessed, no amount of natural stuff is going to fully reverse that except if you're really still growing.
All my uncles on my mom’s side are Chads, and my mom looks good too. My dad’s kinda sub-5, but I don’t think this is all from his genetics.
I’ve got a little brother who was breastfed directly and never mouthbreathes, and his forward growth is solid. I used to look way better than him when we were kids, but I messed it up with these habits. I feel like I lost my childhood potential.
Right now, I can’t afford anything like braces or even surgeries, so I’ll probably have to wait until I’m 25 or older to really fix it. But I still want to know everything I might need to do when the time comes.
