Am I the only one who gets nervous when talking to the cashier?

When I talk to my friends we Make jokes and everything is chill but when I’m at the grocery store at the front desk I get super nervous when I have to talk to the cashier.

10 people watching me how I open my fking purse and put my groceries in my bag. I get voice cracks when i have to say „bye“. Am I the only one?

Nope but I did used to.

Now when I am checking out groceries Ill say random thing like ill just called the dude "doug" for no reason when im leaving or sometimes it sounds like they say "have a good day man" but he actually said "mam" so Ill say ok have a good day maM or ill say something random to him.

Like the other day it sounded like someone did that so I said "use this bag as a condom. it will slip right off"

and one time i was buying donuts and i said "hang them off your erection" before leaving. the never say anything else or just awkwardly laugh.

Just break the cashiers arms and legs and get the change out the register yourself

Sometimes I'll get slightly uncomfortable if it's a narcy, arrogant white woman, but no, I usually don't care. Sometimes the cashier is sweet and gives a smile which makes you leave with a warm feeling inside (works best if they're cute ofc).
