A dog may raise your chances but I’m not sure. Other pets likely won’t have any effect if not negative.

1. Use common sense and don’t sound like you’re shitting on yourself or on the person looking when you write your bio.
2. Definitely tell me about yourself. What music you like? What do you do in your spare time? What’s your Alma Mater? Do you have something unique about yourself.
