Spirulina is basically tiny blue-green algae packed with nutrients like protein, vitamins, and minerals. People use it as a simple way to boost their daily nutrition without changing their whole diet.
In this guide I will show you how to use it to become a chad.

Spirulina refers to the dried biomass of Arthrospira platensis, an oxygenic photosynthetic bacterium found worldwide in fresh and marine waters. This alga represents an important staple diet in humans and has been used as a source of protein and vitamin supplement in humans without any significant side-effects. Apart from the high (up to 70%) content of protein, it also contains vitamins, especially B12 and provitamin A (β-carotenes), and minerals, especially iron. It is also rich in phenolic acids, tocopherols and γ-linolenic acid. Spirulina lacks cellulose cell walls and therefore it can be easily digested [1].


The Mexica – or Aztecs, as they were later known – harvested the spirulina from the surface of Lake Texcoco[2] it was also successfully used by NASA as a dietary supplement for astronauts on space missions.


Spirulina now belongs to the substances that are listed by the US Food and Drug Administration under the category Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS)[3-7]


Nakaya et al. [8], in the first human study, gave 4.2 g day−1 of Spirulina to 15 male volunteers and, although there was no significant increase in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, they observed a significant reduction of high-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol after 8 weeks of treatment. The atherogenic effect also declined significantly in the above group.
Ramamoorthy and Premakumari [9] in a more recent study administered Spirulina supplements in ischemic heart disease patients and found a significant reduction in blood cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL cholesterol and an increase in HDL cholesterol.


To grow spirulina, place a live algae culture in a warm, clear tank (27–35°C) filled with filtered, non-chlorinated water and specific spirulina nutrients. Maintain a high alkalinity (pH \(8.5\) to \(10.0\)) using baking soda and salt, provide bright, indirect sunlight or grow lights, and harvest every 2–3 weeks by filtering.

Spirulina is mroe expensive per gram of protein than chicken or other meat. Not sustainable at all and chicken tastes better than fucking algae

Okay, now spend 100's of dollars on equipment and costs to grow some algae that will taste shit or just eat chicken. You can even grow chickens yourself. Also free eggs:lul:
