It depends.

If your face is narrow structure-wise then too skinny can look bad.

If you’re face is wide structure-wise then the skinnier the better.

Your question has the word fat in it.

Bone structure has got nothing to do with facial fat distribution. Bone structure doesn't matter here, your fat distribution in the body and the face should be the only topic of concern.

I never said bone structure has anything to do with facial fat distribution.

I’m saying that if your face is on the narrow side in terms of bone, there’s a limit to how lean you can get before your face starts looking worse/gaunt, this limit could 12%, 10% or even 8%.

If your face is on the wider side in terms of bone, there’s is no limit. The leaner you get the more chiselled and better looking you will be.

In no way am I saying to be fat, it’s the opposite. I’m stating how important BF% is in looks.
