This is perfect for 25+ year old dudes with sagging faces. UVA is apparently the damaging one. But UVB INCREASES ELASTIN

elastin> collagen any day.

that said any one ever try a UVB lamp? There’s a specific wave length I think and idk if they come without uva

The UV region covers the wavelength range 100-400 nm and is divided into three bands: UVA (315-400 nm) UVB (280-315 nm)

What? Have you actually read the study lmfao?

The study tries to localise the cells responsible for Elastin production and says that UVB exposure leads to tumours and skin aging right in the introduction. Brainlet moment

Yeah a dunno about this.
1. This paper would done in 1998
2. LED therapy has already been studied to have more positive effects i.e. Blue Light, RED, NIR
which is in spectrum of 400 - 900 nm
3. If UVB was shown to improve elastin more so than normal LED therapies the companies would of incorporated them.

0/10 shit tier thread

there’s more than 1 study on this. Just type uvb elastin on google

also there’s a lot of talk about solar elastin and it’s not sure weather that’s good or bad. No one really knows

when I was 18 I kinda had a sagging face, whenever I started tanning at 21 my face tightened the fuk up

stopped tanning at 24 and my face ain’t as tight

I think we need the UVB without the UVA

Not really it's because UVB causes build-up of MMP which destroys collagen and other aspects in the skin.

Skin is more complex than just more Elastin is better lol

what the fuck did you read the study it says one aspect of aging is increased elastin and mentions double elastin at some point.

fuck my life are you retarded

- "The accumulated elastin in facial skin was morphologically abnormal and appeared to occupy the areas of lost collagen"

it's over man

UVB is also known as the rays that "burn". If I was to get a UVB lamp as an asian this would literally burn my skin. As an asian this would cause my skin to hyperpigment making me look even more ethnic.

Do you seriously think that companies who have LED devices haven't already researched this shit?

Elastin > collagen

id rather have 0 nasolfolds and undereye hollows but with shitty skin texture

I’ve megadosed vitamin c before which increases collagen and reduces elastin, and it just makes you look gay as fuk and gives you a tranny glow with a sagging face.

Anyone reading this do not listen to this retard. I have already made a thread on LED devices:

Skin is more complex than just more Elastin is better lol

I mean I wouldn’t say so.

elastin > collagen. Period

I’d rather have shit collagen and god tier elastin. You can actually fraud your age with good elastin

you can’t do that with good collagen since you’ll still have nasolfolds and under eye hollows. You’ll just look like a old tranny lmao

But the Elastin that is built is from UVB exposure is morphologically abnormal which means it's fucked up lmfao. (the structure is different)

Yes I know. Solar elastase. But there’s evidence saying that normal elastin is also increased

and who the fuck knows if abnormal elastin is bad or not? It could just be a term used for an abnormal amount of build up of elastin

Who knows if solar elastis doesn’t act like regular elastin?

the pics of the solar elastin is only seen on old people in there 80s lmao.

Solar elastin supposivly looks like this:

I’ve never once seen someone under 70 with that type of yellowed thickend up skin.

Ever

So I could care less how I’d look at 80

also it’s not just solar elastase that’s increased but all of elastin. including tropoelastin

elastic fibers also increased in length form the UVB study(good since decreasing is what causes shit elastin)

Quote from end of study:

“however, due to the increase in size and numbers of these structures they contribute significantly to the total elastin increase in the skin of UVB-irradiated mice.”

just shows total elastin is increased. Who cares if you get yellow bumpy skin at 80 lmao.

Keep in mind that picture with the old guy trucker who had damage on his window side had NO UVB and all uva hence the aging

Because glass blocks all of uvb but no uva

so he was getting all the uva without the uvb, hence aging

since uva is what causes premature aging, not uvb

btw what do you think are the best ways to keep and/or increase skin collagen/elastin levels?

Because I'll trust a seven-figure startup founder over almost anyone else on this forum, despite those being unrelated topics overall lol

What I do for long-term anti-ageing (not my whole skincare regime, only what helps with actual anti-aging):

topical:

1/ CE Ferulic Skinceuticals (Vitamin C, Antioxidant - prevents buildup of skin damaging molecules)
2/ Tret 0,05 every 2 days (reverses many aspects of photoaging)
3/ NIOD CAIS 3 1:1 (GHK-CU Copper - helps with collagen build-up)
4/ Matryxil as my moisturiser (helps making skin LOOK younger with very little real anti-aging effect)
5/ Dr Pen 1mm Dermarolling every 2 weeks

Lol, another

I-DO-NOT-KNOW-SHIT-ABOUT-ANATOMY-AND-SKIN-BUT-HAVE-A-SCIENTIFIC-OPINION-cel :incel:

Dude, first of all, COLLAGEN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SKIN LAXITY TOO.

In fact, if you have good collagen in the deep skin level, near the underlying muscles, your skin will be like spring, tight.

How do you think ultherapy works?

Now, I do not pretend I know shit here. I have no idea what elastin does. But what I know, IF YOU HAVE FUCKING COLLAGEN YOUR SKIN WILL SHINE AND IT WILL BE TIGHT AS FUCK. You just need collagen on ALL levels of skin, especially near the muscle, not the upper layers, which are indeed responsible for wrinkles/glow only.
