Any science behind why waking up earlier makes you feel better?

I wake up at 6am on weekdays and feel a lot more control of my life

i think as long as you get 6-8 hours of sleep , it doesnt mattter when you sleep or wake up

Something to do with sunlight. You are designed to sleep in dark and vice versa. It affects tons of hormones and chemicals in your body.

it's also got to do with the balance between serotonin and melatonin. Ideally, if you're going to bed during the onset of melatonin release and going through the correct amount of REM sleep and NREM sleep then you're gonna feel better.

If i wake up late I'll feel depressed that day. If I wake up at 5 am then it's gonna be fine.

I love getting up early

it would be good to wake up not tired when im going to work
