Any softmaxxing to mitigate the effect of protruding ears?

I've noticed that when I've got a hood or something like a beanie my face looks alright. Without it I look fine from an angle but straight on my ears poke out which I find unappealing. Anything I can do to deal with it? Two things I thought were growing out my hair, though I'm not particularly sure which haircut would be best here, as well as growing my neck.
