One of the best examples. Nappa and raditz were huge, and vegeta oneshotted nappa like nothing. The villains that transformed, when you saw them get smaller you knew shit was getting serious too (freezer, cell, buu)
Many heros in former media are too usually among the shorter side compared to secondary less powerful/strong characters. I somewhat as a child believed that "tall and big = less strong sidekick" lmao. There are many examples of this pattern, I also remember malfoy from harry potter being actually the most powerful of his group while being the shorter one. Its like the VIP and bodyguards, but in these cases the bodyguards were just there to do jobs that didnt require enough seriousness/effort for the boss to be involved.
It kinda conflicts with the general idea that height = power and leadership. Tall guys were usually the cannon fodder of stories, and when the shorter and slender one showed up you knew shit was gonna happen for real.
