Just opened my passport and saw my visa is about to expire. I could just extend it for like $30 but for the same price I can take a train up to Laos and see how the Laotian pussy hits

Anyone been or have any info? Will I once again be first person on this site to document it just like my Mongolia trip?

No, but it's the poorest noteable country in southeast asia. The REAL shitshows are Papua new Guinea and east Timor. They dont even look oriental and they are even poorer than laos

It's poor but so what? The people are laid back and pretty clean there. The pace of life is slower.

Cambodia might have a higher GDP than Laos, I don't really know, but you're bound to see way more evidence of poverty in Cambodia everywhere you go. It's more dangerous in Cambo than any other country in the region by far.
