Anyone else experience cashiers treating them like a nonhuman?

I was bullied so hard growing uo that i forgot about the bullying. My brother started reminding me of events that happened and im remembering. My brain blocked it out. I finally snapped when i went to taco bell and asked for my drink with my order and the lady gave it to me and i said thank you and she just stared at me with a blank expression. This happened to me a lot recently with cashiers mostly female. How can people be so sick to got out there way tk put eomeone already down even more. I guess that my face is ugly and looks sad from bullyiny my whole life, it looks like im crying?

Yeah its brootal, espcially when i go out with my mother and i can see how well people treat her compared to me

Being a cashier can be a really shitty job, my mom was one a few years ago and it fucked her up mentally. So I wouldn’t go by how cashiers react to you because when girls are in a bad mood they really close off. It’s also a very forced interaction.

The other way around, you working with the public and girls coming in and how they react to you, is a much better gauge of this.

In the ghetto, yup. But even in nicer areas I’ve heard from girls who worked at stores or fast food that their managers beat them up, angry old men splashed drinks on them, all kinds of shit and that was before the pandemic, people are even worse now. The store my mom worked at had a serious problem with tweakers/crackheads wandering in and starting shit. Bare minimum they have to deal with Karens. Most trade / blue collar jobs are nowhere near as stressful.
