Was doing math and couldn’t solve some problem. Then i took notes and shit and realized like it doesn’t matter. I just didnt understand it and taking notes won’t make my brain be able to solve it. It’s just over no sense in „taking notes“. I feel like if u can’t look at the board, understand the concept and then go off to solvin all the problems while lying on the floor and having 9 apples around your head , and instead need to write down a bunch of texts and write the formulas , then it’s over.

Not an exucse it’s the truth imo. In history or biology yeah u need to take notes bc there’s no logic or not crazy amount of it. It’s just rules and text which u need to read and remember. While math is just PURE logic and no amount of notes will make u understand it. u either get it or not and that’s it.

You need to be able to remember the formulas and rules and what makes them up via notes bcuz no one is going to be able to fully memorize all of these rules and functions without note taking, and even if you dont understand normally you just write the notes down eitherway and look for another way of understanding it, not everyone fully understands something at first and you should find a ways to break it down to your level, sometimes a formula being broken down using another method or an analogy to describe it makes it click for you in a way that it didnt before or even just bare repetition can just make it click as well, this is pure excuses to justify not putting in effort to actually work more

No nigga. memorizing formula works best by doing a lot of problems. And doing a lot of problems required for u to understand it since day 1. If u can’t then it’s over. I know people who study a lot and just don’t understand shit. they just remember the formulas and use them. But it’s more than that it’s not just remembering. Yes of course no one will derive a formula everytime they need it but still if u come to a new topic like let’s say integral and need to take notes instead of just reading it and understandign i think ur not made for it

Even if you can grasp something instantly does not mean youre gonna have extreme memory or recall it instantly, you will most likely still be taking notes here and there for when you have to remember and study in your exams, unless youre doing an open book one
