Anyone else feel very comfortable in dates but not in approaches?

like first dates im super chill, things go smoothly, but if i see a cute girl on the street chances are i wont approach her.
please drop some insights and advices

Of course, on a date you know she wants to interact with you. In an approach, you have no idea where you stand. She might hate you. Approaches matter more than dates, though, so you just have to tough it out.
