I literally never see people from elementary school or high school when I'm just walking around downtown or something. Can't recall it ever happening in the last couple of years. It's like they vanished off the face of the earth. You walk past tens of thousands of people and never see a familar face? It doesn't make sense.

What is going on?

Yeah me neither. But they might live in anoth city or just live in different area in the city.

The looks might hsve changed alot

That's a small town, many people just move from these kind of towns to the big cities...
most people don't do that.

I think people tend to not really go outside a lot apart from going to events and shit or hanging out with people they know so you don't see them. or they just disappeared.

Many young people just move away from small towns, there's not much to do there, and few job prospects...

Well I grew up in a small town that was close to a big city, back then in the old days, people would stay outside all day, there wasn't much else to do, this was before the Internet, smartphones, social media, etc., many people didn't even have cable TV. Every apartment building had a few benches in front, and folks would just sit there, talk to each other, play chess, cards, etc. or walk through the town(very few had cars), visit the park, the beach, etc...You would often bump into people you knew, you saw them outside their building or in the park, back then there also just weren't many bars, clubs, malls, etc...

Now the place it's more like a ghost town, many young people moved to big cities or even other countries, there are rarely people outside, and if they go out it's just to go from one place to another. A lot of them also have cars now, so they use them to go to the nearby big city to visit malls, bars, clubs, cinemas, etc...They keep contact with each other through social media or smartphone apps, so the old days when you would often bump into people you knew just by walking outside are long gone.

yeah it's not really like that here. like I (and you) said, people don't really seem to just hang around outside anymore. they order things online. drive to work/school/isolated social gatherings, etc. it's like they stopped existing. :smonk:

Find them online, on social media and see if you can join their groups and planned activities. Of course now it's very easy for them to just ignore you, while back in the old days you could sometimes force your way to hang out with others, until they tolerated you.
