If there is no life after death nothing matters, no amount of suffering, no amount of slaying etc etc actually matters because eventually every lens point/perspective that remembered you as an individual eventually disappears, leading to nothing/no thing and suffering or joy/bliss/happiness fades with the vessel you currently reside in

If there is something after life however, then I believe every individual has the set of characteristics they have for a reason, and this means you should see life through to the end - on the off chance that whatever you do here impacts post-death, you don't want to end up with a worse off fate due to not being able to comprehend things from a higher plane of existence
