its safe, i wouldnt be on it for TOO long since its antibiotics tho and it can kill good bacteria too. just listen to your doc or google the avg time on it

I was taking twice a day when I was roughly 15-16.
It works really well, but there is evidence that any antibiotic can damage gut bacteria, so ideally I wouldn't take it longer than necesary, but also not too short, because you can end up with resistant bacteria.
Just follow the dosage and length on the bottle until your acne goes away, then you can move towards a topical antibiotic, and eventually retin-a.
