Anyone here on sleeping pills?

I’m going to try and get on sleeping pills. I heard it takes around half an hour to fall asleep but that seems quite lengthy. I typically fall asleep after twenty minutes. I have been sleep-deprived for years now, often pulling all-nighters, staying awake for anywhere between thirty hours and thirty-six hours. Sometimes forty-eight. I’m writing this at 6:30 AM and as you may have guessed.. I haven’t slept yet. FML, I had recently fixed my sleeping schedule. It’s an endless cycle.
I can't even stay awake for more than 20 hours :ROFLMAO:

Well it didn’t happen suddenly haha. I’ve done it many, many times. If you’re not used to it then it can be really difficult or even impossible to pull off perhaps.

I would tell you but I doubt you would listen to my advice
(Might make a sleep guide in the future after I fix my sleep)

Jeez. So for how long do you sleep in total?
I usually fall asleep at around 10:30 so about 8 hours and 30 minutes

without then maybe 5-6 hours
Woah. And how long does it take for you to fall asleep? Any reason why you are unable to sleep as quickly? You’d think that if you sleep for less then you’d be able to fix your sleeping schedule without using those pills, right?

I highly doubt you would listen but....

Oversimplified: sleep same time and wake up same time every day, realistic time to sleep like 10-11pm
Get sun for 30 minutes immediately after waking up
No electronics and hour before bed
A nice hot shower right before bed
Actually going outside during the day
Magnesium glycinate but only helps if your deficient in magnesium
No work/stress 3 hours before bed
No food 3 hours before bed
No water 1 hour before bed
Limiting screen usage (throughout day)
Blah blah more stuff you wouldn't follow :trepidation:

with pills maybe an hour to sleep. without them like 3 hours. the reason I need them is because of insomnia. I can't fix it without medication

These are actually really good tips - but I am not sure if I can follow them constantly, knowing myself.

Yeah, I can relate to that. I’m not sure if I’ve got insomnia though. I do have sleep anxiety. What I mean by this is that I worry throughout the night whether or not I’ll be able to sleep. And then before I know it, it’s 4 AM. :feelswah:
