Anyone tried expanding palate at home?

Like just buying an expander online, how did it go?

Orthos are shitty here either they're full or they have the extraction route to recessed chuds. I'll rather buy an expander online tbh

It's not completely narrow, intermoral width is 39 mm but it's quite a bit more narrow then the lower jaw (which has teeth tipped inwards to compensate) so I have room for expansion, I also can't fit my tongue properly

so thats in the range of narrow it would be fine but since you cant fit your tounge in get an expander but just dont expand it too much

What could the range of expansion be in mm? I also have reverse pull headgear that I already bought, I'm not expecting it to do much if anything but I want to squeeze any bit of forward growth possible from my recessed face. I also think I'd get a lower Schwarz expander

im not to well informed in that i think its 42mm but im not sure dont take my word for it and i wouldnt do a expender down since your upper pallet is narrow jusat seems more logical

It would not really be to "expand" the lower palate but for the teeth to be in a more up instead of inward position, I kinda think that it could happen by itself though, I'm not sure. I'll probably just buy an upper and see if the lower just adjusts, if anything buy a lower
