Former fat fuck checking in. My stretch marks really piss me off. They've faded to silvery white and they're bad enough on the flanks and sides of my lower back that I've avoided beach/pool situations for years. After researching extensively, it seems like the arsenal of existing treatment options (needling, laser, et) is garbage.
Camouflage tattooing is the only thing I've found that provably makes a difference, and it works really well, judging from the pictures. Has anyone here tried it or considered it? As far as I can tell, the drawbacks are: 1. marks become more visible again if you tan, 2. can't use laser to remove the pigment or treat the skin bc it will cause discoloration, 3. lasts ~5 years and then needs to be redone, 4. expensive.
So is it a good option? Are there any better ones I should consider?
