applying tretinoin, is sunscreen important

chatgpt says using tretinoin makes face uv-sensitive 24/7 and i should apply sunscreen every morning is it really all that importnat im not like sunbathing and winter is coming and i live in an area with not too much sun

You should apply SPF50 PA++++ regardless.

The sun is your skin’s biggest enemy, avoid it

Yeah you should, I use adapalene and even when theres not a lot of sun it's bad.
Your skin gets pretty red if you dont protect it.
So put on sunscreen and/or a cap..

If you’re just starting tret, yes. It’ll make your face extremely dry if your out in the sun without sunscreen. But if not, it doesn’t matter that much. Im out in the sun a lot with my work and the sun is constantly out where I live and my skin is fine.
