Had an orthodontist appointment yesterday. Walked in, they took scans of my teeth and photos of my front and side profile. The orthodontist came in and pretty much right away told me I need bimax (jaw surgery on the upper jaw and not lower jaw, however he isn't the surgeon so not confirmed ), and that I'd get it once I turn 18.
I'm hoping the surgeon can do a higher Le Fort I cut instead of the standard version — probably ending up needing midface implants either way.
Anyone else been through this or pushed for a higher Le Fort cut? Was it worth it?
