Are braces going to fuck up my face?

Im 17 and just got braces on to my teeth, and I probably should have looked this up beforehand but I'm seeing all this information online that it's going to fuck up my jaw and give me a recessed one, is this true?

No if they are not removing theets it wont fuck up your face it will even improve your face

He didn't say anything about his teeth getting remove retard. He asked if getting braces would make his face recessed and I told him it would if his bone aren't matured.

And im saying that if your ortho removes theets thats the only way to make someone recessed
If your bones aren’t matured its going to improve your forward growth jfl

Getting ur teeth removed isn't the only way you become recesse. It could be genetics or bad habits jfl

Okay, so I'm hearing two sides here, some people are saying they will only fuck me up though if I get a tooth removed, none of my teeth have been removed though so am I fine? Do all braces fuck me up or is it only a specific type?

I think they’re joking bro.
It depends on your situation since if you need braces then they’re fine as they might help your face. Unnecessarily though might be worse

Istg I hate ppl who be joking, I been on the internet for 3 hours finding all sorts of answers while i have these things in my mouth and mom already paid 3000 for em

Yea, I dont really need them though, my teeth are crooked but they arent necessary. So I dont even know anymore, jst gonna keep searching, nice to see someone chill though, also fire pfp I used to play DB legends

no jfl, its simply not true only thing that can cause recession are the rubber bands, if you wear em properly and listen to ur orthodontist ur good it wont cause recession, you might need a palate expander after ur braces if ur palet is narrow but thats something for after ur braces

Ive had braces in for like a year now i had another tooth behind my bottom front tooth, they took my front tooth out and pushed the back tooth to the front, i have a deep overbite tho, should i tell them to give me a palate expander to imrpove forward growth of maxilla, bc im scared to fix the overbite they will push my front teeth back recessing my jaw

In general braces are good if you get them done by an ortho. Some dentists do braces too, but I don't think I'll have to explain why that is a terrible idea.

The only way proper orthodontics could fuck you up is if they pull your premolars or any other teeth other than your wisdom teeth and then use rubber bands to pull the anterior portion of the dental arch back.

palate expander causes gaps in ur teeth because ur mouth is now wider, you definitely should get that before braces

dont let them, i did some research, the most popular opinion i found (might be wrong, but its the most common one) is that braces wont harm you as long as they dont pull any teeth.

If they pull your molars your going to get fked
