are braces worth it for me?

im 15 and i have hell of an overbite (7mm) and 2mm overjet so my chin is hella recessed. insurance is prob not gonna cover it so its gonna cost ab 7k. will braces even 100% fix my chin and could there be any other effects on my face (possibly negative)?
