or is just due to lack of fat/support. I only have protruding eyes from the side really, and I did this deep-set eyes test where u try to punch your eye and if the brow ridge and cheekbone stop your fist then they are deep-set, and I passed (somebody posted that to check if u have deep-set eyes). Also when I push my cheeks up to see how it looks with fat under eyes it is perfect cat-like eyes to me.

like are his eyes actually big because they are literally protruding out of head or does he just have the worst support known to man?

Usually not. If at they have protrusion, as in the eye pokes out of your face, then orbital decompression is required.

In reality it's lack of orbital bones and heavy eyelid exposure (and in some cases short pfl). Negative vector can make the eye look protruding when it isn't.
