are MSEs even worth it

Getting invisalign soon and the ortho said I had a narrow palate. Is it worth it to get an MSE? I feel like there’s better things I could spend my money on

Orthodontist told you your palate is narrow? Yes, MSE sounds pretty worth it imo for aesthetic purposes, and functional ones too.

What does it do for the face? Because I’ve read online in some places that it doesn’t change much, but i’ve read on other places it widens the maxilla and zygos and gives you a broader midface and improved zygomatic arch

It does improve zygomatic arch and widens your maxilla, also improves your smile. However, I won't lie to you, it won't do too much for your zygomatic projection.

It will improve your facial width to height ratio, giving you a more compact, masculinized face. It will improve your smile, reducing buccal corridors. And it will improve your lateral zygomatic projection, but not frontal, MSE causes very an insignificant amount of movement forward.

What if i already have decent forward growth for my age? And my ipd is wide can it help with balancing the eye area?

No, it will not help reduce your IPD, it will not widen it. Although chances are if it does do anything to your faces chances are it just worsens the issue
