I've heard it can help, the most research for autism has been into oxytocin nasal sprays. Apparently they work pretty good but it's strange, it's not like a direct sociability effect. It can make you appear more normal but it can also make you less social in some instances, particularly with strangers. The best effect is with socializing with people with whom you already have bonds.

Sure but even with strangers you'll act more NT, be able to hold eye contact easier, feel less awkward, etc. Muted/shy people with good social skills can be just as likeable or pleasant to be around as social butterflies.
