6-12 months use, 1,5 to 2 years in braxes to fix the teeth, people really out here wasting 2-3 years on this for no significant change apart from smile and some airway ?

Crazy works

I guess it could be worth if you are 15-17

No one gets wider face from palatte expanders. I mean the change is expanding like a pyramid from teeths aswell, not aesthetic in any form really. You expand 10 mm at the suture, maybe you get 2 at the zygos lol. And then you over did it

Normies would rather hear their misrable life can be fixed with orthodontic work and a course than with a €20k “invasive” surgery

There is a significant change retard. It makes your zygos more prominent, makes your smile look better, can fix narrow lips and the list goes on.

Makes nose wider(hard to fix with rhibo when the entire hole is wider), makes zygos at most 2-3 mm wider if you over expand, can cause more assymetry, bad for teeth roots, can cause a indent at the suture so the lips looks bad, can cause tmj issues, can make the smile weird because and make less holloe cheeks since you expand lower more then upper(pyramid expansion)

Its a dog procedure. Good for breathing and tooth show

Ramieri himself can even tell you that it makes no significant change to lip width. This is just a cope

I mean i have seen clear result of noticeable lip width change after mse, even braces can chnage perceived width slightly. But with mse you meed to overdo it to get a big change. And your nose will widen with a faster rate

Maybe if you overdo it then yeah. But Ramieri himself has said the relationship between lip width and palette width is not that linear. There is plenty of cases where you can have narrow lips but a wide palette and so on. You'll end up doing MSE for unnoticeable changes on average

I mean its not linear and 1 to 1. But if you expand you will get wider lips, but it usually isnt the most aesthetic width you gain either way. Prob like 5 mm expansion might give 1 mm lip width, 10 gives 2 mm. Small but for sure something. And depends on case

I have an overly wide face, wide palette but my lips are on the narrow side at like 1.3 1.4 mouth to nose lol

i mean lip width is genetic, but if you have narrow palate and lose hanging lips without teeth support you lose put on potential lip width.

imagine having do class3 decomp which takes the most time + marpe before :hnghn:

Braces for me are weird too but these parts attached to your palate seems even more intrusive and fever dreamish might have something to do with never having issues with jaw that and I dont invest time investigating on things like that
Rather do one surgery and be done with it le fort or bimax than this painstakingly long thing

just imagine getting the marpe off, teeth put it the place they were before and ortho tells you ts will take another 2 years to EVEN get a surgery which will make any difference

I wanted to rope so hard after my first surgery, no feeling worse sitting in recovery seeing first signs of subpar result while having a now empty bank account with no income. At least people who are going through decomp wake up with a hope.

It makes me lol when I am browsing orthodontists' instagrams who work with maxfacs and in the before/afters posts' descriptions they sometimes put "We offered this patient 2 options, 1. Get bimax + orthodontics treatment, 2. Orthodontics only" and I shit you not 90% of the time after that it says "The patient chose option number 2.".
Plus they must be very recessed for an orthodontist to offer that option, because in the west even for my fucked up recessed jaw and chin orthodontists tried bluepilling me into doing "genioplasty only" but I still went for trimax. Normies unironically get offered that option and they still refuse.

The widening of the zygomas could lead to slight lips widening because of the stretching of the muscles

Yes but for people who actually need It, the nose widening part is actually a good thing, and from the results I've seen the zygos were way more prominent. And obviously every single looksmaxxing method has a bunch of side effects, so according to your logic no one should do It.

Not many lookmaxxing stuff has so many negaitve aesthetic complications even if it goes "right". Mse is not lookmaxxing, its functional

Literally every single looksmax has health and aesthetic complications, and I'm aware it's functional but I was talking about how It improves facial aesthetics as well

I'm confused by the comments in this thread ngl.

If your palate is narrow especially at the front, expansion will affect your smile broadness, provide more tooth show and reduce buccal corridors which is all improving your looks. I think we under rate how much a good smile halos someone.

Although I agree that there is no real change to the zygos, and that expansion causes a wider nose.

My SARME results below, not possible to achieve that smile without expansion imo. Maybe a 3 piece lefort if your surgeon guarantees it at the start and if they can even align the teeth properly.

Yea better smile is good, but the negatives in my opionion outweight the smile. And its not certain the smile sill look better since a wider nose and chnages in the bone structure can make smile worse even if teeth are better and less buccal coridor

Not many people need the level of expansion that MSE or SARME provide anyway, if they do, might as well risk it and have the asymmetry corrected during bimax. The nose changes are unfortunately unavoidable and need to hope it isn't that bad, seen some pretty bad ones.

Most people can get a 3 piece lefort to get a bit more expansion and avoid all these issues while not having to add another 6 months.

No, blackpillers know it's not a halo. Bad teeth are a falio, but as Thecel found a stacey can have a narrow palete and bad teeth and still be good looking because its the big bones and their positions which make a face good looking. (or in women's case a small skull.)

I suppose it could be part of the notion that women can get away with flaws that men can't.
