That's just the palate, expanders work by splitting that line (suture) which is on the sagittal plane (which only allows lateral expansion), there's no simple suture like that, that would allow anterior (back-to-front) expansion

Could a device that applies constant pressure like how thumb pulling does over time move the maxilla forward? I’m not sure how it would work but basically a device that applies pressure forward on the palate
