Are you forced into clenching when you have orthodontics?

I'm asking this, because I have severe overbite. I have been jutting since I was 16 (24 rn), without knowing what it was. It was just a way for me to ease swallowing and breathing. However, when having orthodontics, are you forced to have both of your jaws clenched together?
I should go under orthodontic treatment, but having to clench for real would be litteraly a shitty position as no one knows my face without jutting.

I had orthodontics and didnt need to clench IG your jaw is way too recessed
