It was the other way around for me. I was very NT and social when I was in my late teens, but I also had acne, was really thin, had a shitty haircut, dandruff and a baby face. Girls avoided me like the plague even though I had no issues making friends with other males, talking to people, going out and being social.

Fast forward 5 years later: no more acne, babyface went away through a combination of end of puberty + mewing, got some muscle from working my ass off in the gym 3 days a week, learned hair care (no more dandruff and frizzy hair) and grew my hair out. I show up to uni classes barely talking to anyone and I get 100x more female attention than when I was ugly and NT.

Now, I'm not saying that being NT isn't useful. Once you get that initial attraction, you can kill it by being autistic really easily. Personality is very important in attraction, but only as long as it's paired with looks.
