Due to my fucked up bite (overbite), I've been using a myobrace appliance daily and nightly for 6 months now. What I do is use the appliance for 1 and a half hour, and after taking it off, I chew hard gum.
In the last couple of months I felt lots of spasms on the both sides of the mandible (like twice a day). Probably the masseter muscle getting stronger, is this what ascension feels like?
