Asking dentist for palate expander and herbst or lower jaw surgery

I got overlapping front teeth plus a moderate overbite im gonna contact the dentist soon. What is best lower jaw surgery or palate expander and herbst? Im 14 and chatgbt says its bad to do surgery while still growing but you font know for sure and what should I tell my dentist when im asking for either thing?

Anybody know whats best to get and ask for?
