At what point does overbite become detrimental to facial aesthetics?

I have a (probably) mild overbite, but no dentist has ever said anything about it.

My upper front teeth overlap the bottom front teeth halfway-ish. Should i get braces or is this a "normal" overlap?

ok, then do this test
if you can fit upper part of your pinky between first upper and lower teeth that might be worth checking with dentist

I read that on incelwiki, but i have no idea how valid it is.

" If the upper jaw protrudes, it will provide an over-bite (malocclusion and if the upper jaw is recessed, it will provide an under-bite (Class III malocclusion)"
