I ate that much when i was gymceling, after 2 months i had lost almost 1kg when my plan was to gain 3kg.

But you are sedentary i guess, everyone will get fat sedentary with 3k

I am gymcelling and used to walk 20k steps a day but I didn't walk shit today bc I am very depressed lately

3k calories is my resting tdee at 5'11. We should swap metabolisms, eating is such a chore

Your resting bmr is nowhere near 3k, you would be the first person recorded with this bmr
If I eat less then 3k I generally start losing weight. 3k seems to be the sweet spot where i maintain weight. Probably counting calories wrong or something but ive always been skinny/had to force myself to eat to gain weight.

I walk to and fro school so that's probably burning some calories.

I'll do an experiment where I rot for a week or so and see what my real bmr is

Wait how did you get this test done? Such a low bmr for a guy can only be if you have hypothyroidism. If your thyroid is healthy then the test is bullshit

You can alsk have hyperthyroidism together with the previous stuff i mentioned. Also forgot having higher testosterone which causes more muscle weight, resulting in more calories burned.

Tbh you have to have lots of these stuff aligned together to actually make your resting be 3k

I've been needing to get my bloodwork done for a while now, apparently difficulty sleeping is a symptom as well

Bmr can't be measured with machines, it can predict a bmr only from calculating muscle mass, water weight, bones etc. But it can't tell anything about the HPA axis, and specifically rt3, rt4, free and total t4 and t3, tsh, testosterone etc.

I wish i could eat 3000, lucky OP ngl, i struggle with 2000 already, about 1400-1700 satisfies me on average

Consider yourself lucky. I have a hard time leanmaxxing (1500-1700 cal) on 60 mg of vyvanse. I would eat 1000 if it was possible for me. Different goals ig

I hope science comes up with a way to eat a lot without gaining weight tbh pigmaxxing is one of the best copes. I'm skinny now but I can see myself going back to being fat if I get depressed enough.

Tbh its not that hard to increase BMR to upper 2000s if you have some muscle mass, but around 2000 sounds accurate for the average guy
