I'm glad to see this post. It always surprises me how much of this community is religious while going through what they go through and seeing the things they see. There is no benevolent god. There is an irony because many of us on here understand and think in a different way to normies due to our individual interpretation of genetic determinism which has roots in agnosticism and atheism. That's not how it works lmao, not all religions have you enter heaven guaranteed in 2 easy steps. You have to live and make thousands of decisions and follow a code of life until your last breath. As a believer, it would be much more comforting to not have a God looking down on me, and i would love to not be responsible for my actions
