You’d want to get it done by someone who really knows facial anatomy, though, cause pinning too deep or in the wrong area can mess up your smile or cause asymmetry. They normally do small units (like 2-4U per side) right along the middle cheek line, between the corner of your mouth and the masseter. You don’t inject deep, just intramuscular but shallow, about 3-5mm. takes around 2 weeks to see the effect, and it lasts 3-4 months. Don’t try doing it yourself, even if you’ve pinned before. Prominent zygos are responsible for the effect of hollow cheeks, not the buccinator muscle.

Even if your buccinators are developed, you would still have hollow cheeks if you have good bone structure

As long as the injector places it correctly and doesn’t spread too far down, your jawline or chewing muscles won’t be touched. The only time it might affect the masseter slightly is if diffusion happens (too much Botox or poor placement), but that’s rare with low units like 2-4U per side.
