If I use a 10% acid, should I apply moisturizer to my entire face or just the affected areas? In my case, that means my cheeks, which have redness; however, I also occasionally get small breakouts on my forehead, nose, and under my nose. Perhaps I shouldn't use moisturizer on those spots?

Use 20%. Use it across your whole face uniformally. You will need sunscreen as well, and a cleanser if you don't have one already. If your moisturizer breaks you out, then use a different moisturizer.

I use hyaluronic acid before applying my azelaic acid. I take a pea size amount and spread it around my whole face. Then I get just a little bit of moisturizer and spread it everywhere as well to lock it in.
