What a subhuman exercise. Is it even necessary tbh or just a meme?

It's not a meme, it's a great exercise. But it's also very difficult.

Ofcourse it is, but its dangerous, fucking up your back is not worth it, just one wrong move and its a wrap

Good compound exercise but very injury prone

A belt is a must for deadlifts imo, even if you're going light

You don't have to do it. There are other exercises for the back that can train it good enough.

If you want to do a similar exercise to the Deadlift, the Rack Pull might be good. I did it (before Corona) and it worked pretty good.
