STUDY: (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/447793/)
- Gave 9 healthy volunteers a single dose of baclofen ( 5 or 10 mg)
- in 8 of the 9, gh levels rose significantly

How does it work:
1. baclofen mimics GABA, it switches on GABA-B receptor, acting like the natural neurotransmitter would.
2. it acts on the hypothalamus - the brain region that controls the pituitary gland, which releases hormones
3. GH is controlled in sort of a tug of war between GHRH (tells body to release gh) and somatostatin (tells body to block gh)
4. baclofen tips the balance by boosting GHRH activity and easing of somatostatin's effect
5. More gh is released, which then signals to the liver to produce IGF-1 (hormone that carries out many of ghs growth effects)

Conclusion:
baclofen is interesting because studies show it can increase gh by affecting brains GABA-B system.
can also alter sleep patterns like changes in REM sleep.
But its very good
