Bad photos?

So i took a few photos today and in most of them i look great but in one of them it was like 2ft away and from a uwars angle. Is it normal to have occasional bad photos? Also how do i know if im good looking? Which photos should i base this off of ?

My familly says it all the time, thats pretty biased though. I dont really talk to many girls but i have been complimented randomly on my hair a couple of times recently.
