i need help i don't know if im balding or not im 18 btw.

Yes, absolutely. Get on finasteride and minoxidil asap.

The sooner you start, the better the recovery will be.

It never gets better without pharmacological intervention.

No. You will have to apply treatment forever or you will lose all your gains.
Most will eventually see some kind of regression after a couple of decades.
Better at 40 than 18.

No, he's visibly thinning on top. That kind of hairline recession is very advanced for someone who is 18.

A mature hairline is a very slow gradual progression over many years around the temples.
This is not what OP has unfortunately. If he's pro-active, he'll have a good recovery though.

And it will likely get worse over a longer period of time than OP.
"Mature" hairline most of the time is hair loss denialism.
Very few men will just experience some limited hairline recession and that's it.

Im pretty sure most men experience slight recession of the temples during puberty

Very hard to judge in the pic he posted. But it honestly looks very similar to my donor area

But with that said he is quite likely experiencing aga should definitely see a hair derm and get finasteride prescription

Yes, for most, hair loss starts at the onset of puberty.

This is true but I believe it's quite advanced for a teenager and i can see some diffuse thinning.

Yes. Most men who care about hair loss should be on drugs preventatively at 18 even without any signs.

People don't understand that hair loss starts before you even notice it.

By the time it's visually identifiable, you've likely lost thousands, potentially tens of thousands of hair follicles.

if your lucky and dont care you can stay like that and pray that you wont lose more hair and everything will stabilize or start using fin and minoxidil
