Ok I’ll try to keep this decently short
I started finasteride at 19 with full hair just slightly recessed temples (nw1.5-2) right when I noticed (wanted to get on early because I have strong balding genes in family).
finasteride actually improved my hair a lot for 2 years and even the temples a bit. Now I recently had some growth in my skull at 21 (which happened to my brother at this age too which is weird) where my scalp and forehead become wider. I now get tension headaches and which I believe is from scalp issues and am having bad blood flow to the scalp.
my hairline is still in tact but I am losing density throughout the scalp. My hair doesn’t style like it used to and I’m seeing way more hairs in the shower at the exact time of this skull growth so I know it’s correlated. I would have no problem taking dutasteride as I’m not scared of sides (haven’t had any yet) but I don’t think the DHT is really my problem, I think it’s scalp tension and blood flow.
would getting a derminator for micro needling my scalp release scalp tension and improve blood flow? Or is it a myth for actually helping hairloss.
