Bar too Heavy for overhead press

I tried doing overhead press but the bar is too heavy and they only have 45 lb bars (I couldn't do even one rep). Any alternatives? Is shoulder press the same thing

I am not small, I am 185 cm and I got rated average frame on this site . I am just 135 lb and never lifted since high school (I could ohp then)

do them with an ez bar.

alternatively do front raises with a plate, works more or less the same muscles, but overhead press is a superior movement.

ez bar uses dumbbell plates so you can work up the weight to the equivalent of a regular bar, should be fine.

remember to brace your core and squeeze your glutes, ohp works like that.

That's why am lifting nigga. And at least I'm not a framelet or manlet, rn I just fraud with baggy clothes and even got called "broad shouldered" when I frauded

Just do clean and press until your strong enough?

i was at 50kg ohp in reps but now i had labrum bankart surgery on shoulder and not allowed to do it „heavy“ anymore

50kg ohp is not much btw

Just do weighted push ups and dips until you get strong enough theory.

Also dont do overhead press while you are teen, you risk scoliosis and shit

still do push ups (pike for example, they use shoulders more) and dips.

in like 2 month you will do those 45 lbs like pushing air

Just do 15 or 20 lb dumbbells.

First of all, I don’t believe you can’t lift the 20kg bar for 10 reps unless you’re like 15 years old.

Second, if that is true, just use the dumbbells.

Have you filmed yourself? It might just feel worse than it actually is. I always shake when I'm doing pressing stuff. I also shake excessively when I rock climb, which I'm very good at.

I am doing front raises with plate and using like 10 lb dumbells for pressing and pgoing for high reps rn
