I get mine from a Pakistani store, it’s great stuff but I prefer it without the almonds. I’ve had Indian barfi before straight from India, but I think they used milk from a different animal. I didn’t like it as much.

When served at special occasions, it is often decorated with vark (edible silver foil). It can also be decorated with coconut, ground nuts, or powdered milk.”

This isn't what I'm talking about. There's another variant called kaju katli. That is a lot more famous and much richer in taste.

Khubani ka meetha or qubani ka meetha is a dessert made from dried apricots, originating from Hyderabad, India. It is a part of Hyderabadi cuisine and is a common feature at Hyderabadi weddings. Dried apricots from Afghanistan are especially prized for their flavour and commonly used for this dish
