But i fucking hate doing it, it's very hard for me to fall asleep hungry

It's like needing to pee when you get in bed, it's impossible

Bryan Johnson somehow fasts for 10 HOURS before sleeping :hnghn:

And he's the only person who's got a 100% sleep score for 1 month consecutively (that I've ever heard of)

Why would this be true? Humans sleep better when starving and lacking food? Can you imagine being in the wild and you rest better when you can't find a meal.

Wouldn't you literally sleep better and quicker if you're full

Like after lunch most people feel tired as shit for example

I understand the question but look it up this is common knowledge

The reason is that digesting food is an energetic drain and distracts your body from focusing on rejuvenation

Just don’t eat 2-4 hours before going to sleep, you don’t need to starve yourself

Tbh it's within my ability

I end up being hungry because I Rot on screen and stay up

I need to fix my dopamine rotting and I'll be asleep before I get hungry again

I think genuinely fasted cannot be beneficial before bed. Instead of being full or sickly/gluttonous, you should probably just satiate your hunger so you're content. If there is actual research showing starved individuals sleep better than nourished individuals, then I'd love to see it because it sounds awfully counter-natural-selection.

Google search you'll find it in 3 seconds, this is very well known

Fasting for 10 hours is excessive, but if Bryan does it im sure he's got a good reason and he has read some literature on it, nigga does nothing on accident

Nigga I expected everyone to know ts already it's common knowledge eating before bed is bad for sleep quality

Idk about 10 hours, but 3-4 hours before bed is well documented to be ideal

I've literally found a wall of conflicting evidence. Some have even found fasting to be detrimental, especially long ones like Ramadan. From what I've seen, the sensible conclusion is that TRE doesn't worsen sleep. Not that it improves it automatically.

Conflicting evidence on having disgusted your food by the time you sleep?

Or conflicting evidence on more than 4 hours of fasting

Of course more than 4 hours is more precarious, but having digested or mostly digested your food is advantageous, I find it hard to imagine that's what you're talking about

1. Does the Proximity of Meals to Bedtime Influence the Sleep Quality of Young Adults?

Authors: N. Chung et al.

Published: 2020

Summary: This cross-sectional study surveyed 793 young adults (ages 18–29) to assess the impact of meal timing on sleep quality. The findings suggest that consuming meals closer to bedtime may be associated with poorer sleep quality.

2. Association between Meal Timing and Sleep Quality

Authors: L. Loo et al.

Published: 2023

Summary: This study explored the relationship between meal timing and sleep quality from a chronobiological perspective. The results indicate that later meal timings and more frequent meal occasions are associated with higher scores on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), suggesting poorer sleep quality.

3. Effects of Dinner Timing on Sleep Stage Distribution and EEG Power in Healthy Volunteers

Authors: C. Gu et al.

Published: 2021

Summary: This randomized crossover study examined the effects of routine dinner (5 hours before bedtime) versus late dinner (1 hour before bedtime) on sleep architecture. The findings suggest that eating dinner closer to bedtime may alter sleep stages and EEG power, potentially affecting sleep quality.

Authors: J.H. Park et al.

Published: 2023

Summary: This study investigated the interval between the last meal and bedtime and its relationship with sleep parameters in night shift workers. The results indicate that the timing and composition of the last meal before bedtime can influence sleep quality in this population.

These studies collectively suggest that the timing of meals, particularly consuming them closer to bedtime, may negatively impact sleep quality. However, individual factors such as meal composition, overall health,

No. My point is strictly that you shouldn't fill yourself up like a pig, and let your tummy settle before bed like a sensible human. We aren't disagreeing.
