I'm not even being sarcastic here, i'm really onto something.
The reason you were more happy as a child is because you were dumber.
And because you were dumber you were given less responsibilities.
Obviously having responsibilities makes your life worse.
But look at your one really stupid friend compared to your smart one, and ask yourself which one of them looks happier?
I stopped overthinking and everything seemed more fun to me
