Best Orthodontics route?

I went yesterday to an orthodontist, I am eligble for a pallete expander so that's good. I plan on getting damon braces with that, however to max out the orthodontics route I was thinking of also getting herbst or twinblock but heard it must fuck with maxilla, not allow it to grow and even recede it

any brothers out here can give some advice, my main concern really is with messing up maxilla since I'm already just a bit fucked in that regard
